My Story
At the beginning of my story, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do. I had so many different passions from dancing and musical theatre to painting and writing stories. However, the moment I stepped inside Empire Design (an advertising agency who focuses on movie posters) over 8 years ago, I knew exactly what I was supposed to do as a career.
When it comes to the strategy for a project, I always want to find a key especial piece of information that not only would spark a range of different ideas but make sure it pushed the expectations, in order to make each project individual yet impactful because what is a story without an exciting insight?
Despite just finishing my Advertising and Brand design degree at Ravensbourne University, and having the chance to do so many different projects - I’m excited to see where the industry will take me, the amazing people I will meet and the chance in the future, to take my mum down the road, point at an advertisement and say “Look mum, I helped design that.”
My name is Rebecca Barrett - a London girl, who has a lot of love for her family, friends, her 2 frenchies, coffee and Disney. But also a big passion for finding a unique and unexpecting insights in order to create interesting designs that will amaze the audience.
